April 2009 home sales for Central Florida showed the highest number of new contracts since December 2006. Average home prices fell by 37% from their peaks and homes sales are up 47% over the year to March 2009. The surge is due to homebuyers getting back into the market and taking advantage of the improved affordability. Entering the property market at the right time before the upturn will benefit the shrewd investor. Is this the bottom? Home sales are up, low interest rates, oil price recovering, markets worldwide rallying since February and unprecedented offers from builders. We think it's time to forward plan and look ahead....
